The way the shapes
float slow
then zip.
The way they click
Lock-like.
I see the pattern now
deep in the blue blocks
that keep me in puzzles.
Falling L shapes
that are made of sad squares
desperate to be solid.
Like that one afternoon
on the hill
with the purplish sunset.
And we sat quietly
And knew we did not fit.
The police should have tucked me
in the backseat
and taken me home.
